TRS 6 Upgrade Instructions
*Note: This update is free for registered users of TRS Version 6. Do not attempt to apply this update to an earlier version of TRS or SMRDBS. It will not work.

  1. Download and unzip the update file (642.zip) to a temporary location on your hard disk.
  2. You should now have SMRDBS.EXE file in your temporary location.
  3. Make sure that the TRS program in not running for the rest of the steps below.
  4. Copy the SMRDBS.EXE file into the directory in which you originally installed the program. If you chose the default when installing it, it should be C:\Program Files\trs6. If you're unsure, you can find out where it is by using Windows's "Find Files or Folders" command. Simply select Start->Find->Files or Folders. Type SMRDBS.EXE into the "Named" box, and select "My Computer" or "Local Hard Drives" from the "Look In" list box, then click on "Find Now". It will then tell you the correct location.
  5. When you have the new file copied in, you can start up the TRS Software
    To make sure that you are now running the correct version, select Help->About from the TRS menu. It should show version 6.42. If not, you copied the file into the wrong place.
  6. Repeat the above steps (except steps 1-2) for each computer that you have the program installed on.
